NACD's Annual Summer Meeting moves around from city to city each year but with our home court as the location for this year, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get together with like-minded conservation ag-focused folks and see what the week had in store.

On this episode of the Cover Crop Strategies Podcast, come along on the road with Cover Crop Strategies Associate Editor, Mackane Vogel, as he travels across parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania to visit 3 different farmers who are working with cover crops in unique ways.

As part of a $10 million effort funded by the USDA, the first National Cover Crop Variety Test Report is being released publicly. The project is led by the University of Missouri’s Center for Regenerative Agriculture and includes data for 25 varieties representing six different cover crop species tested across 12 states to help inform cover crop decision making based on winter hardiness, biomass potential, weed control, and other key cover crop traits.
