The National No-Tillage Conference is always full of great presentations about no-till, cover crops and all things conservation ag and the upcoming 2027 National No-Tillage Conference will be the 35th year of the event. Here’s Jackson, Wis., no-tiller Ross Bishop to share a few words about his favorite memories of the conference and why he keeps coming back year after year.
“From learning from what they were trying to promote no-till and cover crops later on, but that put me in a position to survive farming. Because of the ability to not have to work the ground here in Wisconsin, I'm just north of Milwaukee. We have a lot of bedrock, so the idea of picking rocks was not fun because it was a lot of that. So I was able to double my acres by going no-till. And then the cover crops came in and brought it alive. So it was because the conference that I got to learn all this stuff and to be able to farm all these years that I've been able to do for 25, 30 years of my life here with no-till and cover crop. And now I'm planting green and seeing great results from what I learned at the conference, thanks to Frank that this is quite a savings if I say for the environment, for your neighborhood, and to keep the farmers profitable.”
The 2027 event will be here before you know it and the speaker lineup is packed full of great presentations so be sure to get signed up for the 35th annual National No-Tillage Conference at NoTillConference.com — we hope to see you in Indianapolis in January.
