Are you passionate about soil health and sustainable farming? Do you want to be part of a cutting-edge, farmer-driven research effort? This fall, the Cover Crop Variety Testing Network is inviting producers like you to become citizen scientists.

What's In It for You?

  • Free cover crop seed to plant variety trials on your farm
  • Hands-on experience with different species and varieties
  • Contribute to real-world research that benefits farmers across the region

Participation criteria:

  • Grow at least two varieties of one or more cover crop species
  • Use a minimum plot size of 5x15 ft. per variety
  • Monitor and report cover crop performance data

Your observations will help identify which cover crop varieties thrive under different conditions, management styles, and farming systems.
